He returns to his home town, where he meets a young woman named Rosie and a painter named Marco, who is searching for a guide to take her on a tour of the local temples. Raju agrees to be her guide, and the two set off on a journey through the countryside.

As they travel, Raju begins to tell Marco and Rosi stories about the local temples and the legends associated with them. He becomes increasingly confident and eloquent in his storytelling, and soon becomes known as a guru, attracting a large following of devotees.

However, Raju's past comes back to haunt him when the police begin to investigate the embezzlement case again. As he struggles to prove his innocence, Raju realizes that he has become deeply attached to his new identity as a guru, and must decide whether to continue on this path or to return to his old life.
